- Acceptance of Terms
- Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use the Platform.
- Tutors must meet all qualification requirements as determined by UniMerit.
- Platform Role
- UniMerit acts as an intermediary, connecting students with tutors.
- We are not responsible for the content of sessions or the conduct of users.
- Accounts
- Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Payments
- Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.
- Uni Merit may deduct service fees before paying tutors.
- Prohibited Conduct Users must not:
- Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Circumvent payment systems to arrange lessons outside the Platform.
- Intellectual Property
- All content, branding, and materials on the Platform belong to Uni Merit unless otherwise stated.
- Users may not copy, distribute, or use Platform materials without permission.
- Limitation of Liability
- UniMerit is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.
- We do not guarantee academic results or outcomes.
- Termination
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
- Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of England and Wales.
- Students Terms and Conditions
- Account Registration
- You must provide accurate personal details and maintain updated information.
- You must not share your account with others.
- Payments & Refunds
- Payments for lessons must be made through the Platform.
- Refunds are only provided in cases of proven misconduct by tutors or technical issues, at the discretion of Uni Merit.
- Lesson Conduct
- Students must behave respectfully during lessons.
- Recording of lessons is only permitted with consent from both tutor and platform.
- Cancellations
- Lessons may be cancelled with at least 2 hours notice.
- Failure to cancel within the notice period may result in full charge for the lesson.
- Prohibited Behaviour
- Students must not request free tutoring outside the Platform.
- Offensive or inappropriate behaviour may result in account suspension.
- Tutors Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility & Verification
- Tutors must provide accurate qualifications and identity documents.
- False or misleading information may result in account suspension.
- Lesson Delivery
- Tutors must prepare adequately and deliver lessons professionally.
- Tutors must not share personal contact details to bypass the Platform.
- Payments
- Tutors will receive payments after deductions of platform service fees.
- Payouts are processed on [weekly/bi-weekly/monthly] basis through approved methods.
- Cancellations
- Tutors must provide at least 2 hours notice for cancellations.
- Repeated cancellations may affect tutor ratings or account status.
- Code of Conduct
- Tutors must maintain respectful and professional behaviour at all times.
- Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will result in termination.
- Ownership of Content
- Lesson materials created by tutors remain their intellectual property.
- Tutors grant the Platform a limited license to display and share materials with their students.
These terms apply to all users (students, tutors, and visitors) of Uni Merit (the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
